At work today, as Tim, Tom and I worked with CNN muted in the background, Tom made an interesting observation:

All I can say is that I have very mixed emotions about this “War with Iraq.” I feel that our leaders could have exercised more patience in this whole situation, rather than be so quick to pull the trigger and jump into this squirmish.

Having said that, I hope war ends soon, with minimal casualties and that the results of this battle work out positively for not only us, but for the Iraqi people…

I’ve been getting excited about the new baseball season, but with the injuries to Trevor Hoffman and Phil Nevin, I feel like I should start looking forward to football season instead. I can’t believe that the Padres lost their two marquee players in Spring Training! Ryan Klesko better not get hurt, and Sean Burroughs better prove he’s worth all the hype. Maybe the injury to Nevin will allow Xavier Nady to step in and be the next big major league superstar…

Wow. March is a busy month for birthdays.
