Signaling No Longer Required on California Freeways…

SACRAMENTO, CA — The California Highway Patrol announced today that motorists are no longer required to signal while changing lanes on California freeways.
“Screw it,” sighs Special Officer Jahaha of the CHP. “People don’t need to signal on freeways anymore. I mean, when you’re switching lanes isn’t it obvious that you’re moving left to right or right to left? Communicating with other motorists has become obsolete. Besides, sliding your hand down the steering wheel a few centimeters to engage the turning signal is way too complicated. Hell, some fancy-schmancy cars don’t even come with turning signals anymore…”
In a related story, the State of California also announced Use-Your-Cell-Phone-And-Drink-Your-Latte-While-Driving-To-Work-Day. On July 7th, all motorists are encouraged to purchase an Über Grande Latte and have long conversations on their cell phone while commuting to work.
