Here is a quick way to remember the difference between inductive and deductive reasoning:
- If you come to a conclusion by subtracting (deducting) information, you are using deductive reasoning.
- If a conclusion is determined by facts you add (induce), then you are using inductive reasoning.

Over the weekend I picked up MVP Baseball 2004 by EA Sports. I’m not a huge fan of console baseball games (I prefer computer simulations like the old Commodore 64 Microleague Baseball…), but I am very impressed by MVP Baseball 2004.
Pros
- Revamped pitching and hitting
- Nice simulation of statistics
- Great roster management
Cons
- No pitching/batting practice
- Confusing outfield selection (5 triples in a game?)
- No stat keeping outside of Legacy Mode
