Todd Dominey’s Enjoying directed my eye to a project that studies how users view web sites.

I started CSU Hayward yesterday. I’m working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Art—Multimedia.

My first class on Tuesday-Thursday is Creative Process, a studio class where we create things in different types of media (wood, metals, bronze, clay, etc.). The final project will be an “installation” somewhere on campus with light and/or sound. This class sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

Next, there’s History of Art and Technology. I am pretty impressed with this class. The instructor is the head of the multimedia graduate program and is very passionate about multimedia design. This class will focus on the history of technology from a humanistic approach. I am very interested in this class—it sounds like a fusion of Art History, Anthropology and Psychology.

Next week I start Principles of Graphic Design class, which I fear will be a cake walk for me. I hope to “fill-in” my knowledge in concepts I may not know that well and make the best of my time in class. If it turns out to be too easy, I may try and challenge the class.

Well… I am a big fan of the Resident Evil video game series. I can remember spending hours getting sucked into the “survival horror” story (with Tom) and totally digging the “movie-like” feel of the game. We always observed that this series would be a cool movie if somebody did it right.

I’ve drafted my ESPN Fantasy Football team, I’ve played a full season of Madden 2005 (and taken the Chargers to the AFC Championship game—they lost to the Ravens 13-7) and I am itching to watch some football on TV!

A few random San Diego Charger questions:

• Why cut Kevin Dyson?
• Why keep 4 QBs on the active roster? (Is Cleo Lemon that good?)
• Why start the season with only 3 Safeties?
• Why do the Chargers draft QBs with “nature” names? (Leaf, Brees, Rivers)

Vikings defeat the Colts, 37-31 in OT.

Ah, I can’t wait for the season to start…
