Book Reviews: Labyrinth of Evil & Revenge of the Sith

When I read science fiction, I want to see far-away planets, alien species and awesome spaceships in my mind’s eye. I enjoy when sci-fi authors strike a balance of clear, descriptive, fantastic detail with good, deep character development.

Labyrinth of Evil CoverI hadn’t read a Star Wars novel in a few years, so when Tom let me borrow Labyrinth of Evil and gave me Revenge of the Sith for my birthday, I was excited, but also a little skeptical. The last few Star Wars books I read were either: 1) Too literal with not much character development or 2) Too abstract with confusing descriptions of what was going on.

I’m happy to report that Labyrinth and Revenge delivered great stories and strong character development!

Microsoft Vista

Leave it to Microsoft to come up with a ridiculous name for their new operating system… Tom’s take (via chat):

Then, cramming as many MS products into one sentence:

they excel at being explorers, word?

Trunk Monkey!

Monkeys rock.

Trunk Monkey
Tom and I believe that adding “monkey” to any word or phrase will result in instant hillarity. Go ahead, try it. I’ll wait.

Pretty funny, huh? (Well, it should be funny unless you don’t have a sense of humor or are in a bad mood - in which case you should go eat or something.)

Anyway, Kent sent me a link to this great site (might be a little slow to load):

I rest my case…
