Ok, so I’m a little late experiencing the latest sci-fi, cult phenomenon: Firefly / Serenity. You could say I missed the bandwagon (snicker, snicker). Over the last few weeks, I’ve gotten a chance to see the complete series (thanks, Sarah) and movie and I’m here to say that… well… overall, it was pretty good.
Here are some highlights of what I liked and didn’t like in Firefly/Serenity: (Warning: There may be spoilers…) read the rest of the article…
What a horrible Super Bowl.
Ok, its nice to see Bettis get his championship and Cowler get his due recognition as a good NFL coach, but man it hurts to see an idiot like Ben (”World’s Most Over-rated Quarterback”) Roethlisberger win the Super Bowl. Ugh!
The officiating in the game was atrocious. The offensive pass interference call was incredibly picky, the first Pittsburgh touchdown run was a joke, and the subsequent holding penalties against the Seahawks and non-calls against the Steelers were blatantly partisan. The officiating team the NFL put out there for Super Bowl XL was a disgrace and an insult to NFL fans everywhere (with the exception of fans in Pittsburgh).
Tom pointed out: The head ref should be mvp.
That pretty much sums up the game. Its a real shame when the biggest game of the year is completely controlled by a bad officiating crew.
